14. Crustacean Soft Plastics

Crustaceans are?part of the diet of many fish species and it makes sense that you can imitate a crustacean with a soft plastic. This may include a ZMan 3.5" EZ?ShrimpZ when the prawns are running, a 4" Turbo CrawZ?for chasing bass and Murray cod, or a 2.5" TRD CrawZ or 2" CrusteaZ for imitating crabs when chasing bream.

You don't see crabs or prawns streaking through the water like a fleeing baitfish, so in turn these plastics are generally fished slower, with small hops and glides. As crustaceans are often found around structure, they are especially deadly fished around bridges, rock walls, mangroves, timber and weed flats. They can also be?rigged weedless on a TT Lures ChinlockZ, ChinlockZ SWS or SnakelockZ?and cast into the ugliest structure you can find. Fish on!
