32. Low Tide Flathead
The lower stages of the tide can be a prime time to target flathead as they hold along the edges and drains as the water drops off the flats and out of the mangroves.
The last couple of hours of the run out and first hour of the run in will often produce plenty of fish, casting soft plastics into the shallows and hopping them down the drop offs.
Look for structure in the form of drop offs, drains, weed edges and eddies created by points, banks and other structure.
Another giveaway that there are fish in the area is bait and bait activity is often a sign that fish are feeding in the area.
